Pepper spray experience

Recently criminal happens everywhere, i aware that I must do something to protect myself! Therefore I bought a pepper spray from livingsocial, RM46 for 2. I think it's the cheapest among all coupon deals.
I received it around 1-2 weeks after I bought the deal. In fact, I never use this before, ofcos I don't wish I got the chance to use it😓 ok, back to the topic, I've tried it in d office. I spray to the air. On d first few seconds, I did not feel anything so I felt, 'huh, been cheated?' but, after 5seconds, I started to cough and can't talk at all, then tears came out and even my throat felt badly. After 5-10 minutes only back to normal..
Hmm.. By holding this I feel secured.. :D I even can threaten back the thief by using this.. Lol.. Just joking :p
